My sweet sister sent me a new lens for my birthday. Nikon AF Micro Nikkor 60mm. Fun, fun. It’ll take me a while to figure it out, but I love the possibilities. Just a few shots from around the house…
Thanks, Jody…

Loreen is her name--the old woman in the angel costume who accosts Cyrus Manning near the dance floor of the Down Under. A gift is coming, she tells him. "The gift to die for." For Eleven years Cyrus has pastored First Church of Ruin, a small city deep in the barrens of West Texas. He has come upon hard times. His congregation doesn't want him anymore, and he is questioning not only his call but his very identity. And God is quiet. In this richly textured novel, Jeff Berryman enters the world of the small town congregation, revealing its natural wonders, its natural cruelties, and, here and there, breathtaking moments of unnatural grace.

Have fun. Keep sharing what you capture.
It’s been awhile, so I should say again… I love your contributions here, Jeff. Your insights are inspiring, a strong shot of sustenance in my frenzied day.
I don’t do enough close-up work – but I’ve got some new toys to play with and I think I’ll be some more fairly soon. You’re candle flame broke the creative logjam I was having for “fire” for my Pentecost piece…. You’re an inspiration for more than your preaching
