Ordinary Moments, Setting Sail

  • “To be conduits of change, we must be faithful stewards of the small, ordinary moments.” Glenn Packiam, Butterfly in Brazil.

Found this at The Blind Beggar, in a post about Packiam’s book, which is based on the notion of the now famous question, ““If a butterfly flaps its wings in Brazil, does it cause a tornado in Texas?” The idea of what Blind Beggar calls “small, local, and being in it for the long haul” seems important at this particular moment. Carmen Andres over at in the open space is thinking about Ordinary Moments, too.  Notice how she’s noticing…

Here’s another quote to keep in mind in the coming days…

  • “If the highest aim of a captain were to preserve his ship, he would keep it in port forever.” –Thomas Aquinas (1225-1274)

Found this one at Brother Bartleby’s.
